Please find below information about scholarship competitions open to students wishing to undertake an MA in Catalan Studies, Hispanic Studies, or Latin American Studies at the University of Sheffield. I would be grateful if you could pass this on to students you think might be interested.

***************************************************************** The Katrina Allwood Memorial Scholarship 2014-15
The School of Languages and Cultures at the University of Sheffield is pleased to invite applications for the Katrina Allwood Memorial Scholarship 2014-15.
The award will normally be made to an MA Catalan Studies student following registration for their degree, or if there is no suitable candidate for the MA Catalan Studies, the scholarship panel may, at their discretion, consider MA Hispanic Studies students intending to work on Peninsular languages and cultures, including Catalan. The value of the award will be £2,500.
Candidates wishing to be considered for this award should email Dr Louise Johnson (Director of Catalan Studies) by 12 noon on Friday 27 June 2014. All applicants must be holding, or have accepted an offer from the University of Sheffield for an appropriate MA programme.
The Department of Hispanic Studies at Sheffield extends its sincere thanks to Mr Charlie Allwood, in memory of Mrs Katrina Allwood, for his generosity.
***************************************************************** The Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the University of Sheffield and the White Rose College of Arts and Humanities offers a number of fee scholarships which are tenable for one year full-time or two years part-time. These scholarships are particularly aimed at students who are intending to continue their studies to doctoral level. The deadline for both schemes is Monday 3 March 12 noon, 2014. Candidates must apply for a place before they can be considered for funding.
