Representations of Everyday Life in Catalan Culture
Modern Language Association
Los Angeles , January 6 - 9, 2011
This session will provide a forum for the recent surge in critical consideration of everyday life, what Henri Lefebvre called the "common ground" or "connective tissue" of all conceivable human thoughts and activities. How is the everyday experienced within a Catalan context? Are there particular experiences that achieve a specific and unique representation or theoretical response in Catalan art, film or literature? Proposals for 20 minute papers are welcome in any area of Catalan Studies treating this topic. All proposals should include a title and an abstract of approximately 200 words and should be sent via e-mail to Enric Bou ( email@example.com ) no later than March 9, 2010.
